Pittwater and Palm Beach
Pittwater is a very special place. The way the weather moves over the landforms of West head, Lion island and the Central coast. The light and colour is unique and very different to Sydney harbour. In the afternoon as the sun moves overhead and in your face the water whites out and is very dramatic against the land and you can feel the power and presence of the tree covered landforms.
Palm beach is a place I want to be at. As soon as you get past Avalon the landscape becomes very lush and verdant. The subtropical forest surrounds the bends of Barrenjoey road. The cabbage tree palms and the spotted gums. It is the end of the peninsula and while still being in Sydney it doesn’t feel like it. It is a beautiful place and the hectic intensity of Sydney is away from there.
